Her Better Home is a personal blog about running a calmer home. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: I don't sell your information, and I collect as little as I can.

What's collected automatically

Like most websites, this one is hosted by a company (Hostinger) whose servers keep basic logs when you visit: your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and when. These logs keep the site running and secure.

I use Google Analytics to see which posts people read and how they found them. It uses cookies and collects information like your approximate location, device, and the pages you visit. It doesn't tell me who you are. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on.

Affiliate links and cookies

Some links on this site are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. When you click one, the store may place a cookie in your browser so it knows the visit came from here. That's how I earn a commission if you buy something. The store handles your purchase and your information under its own privacy policy, not this one. What you share with me

Contact form or email. If you write to me, I'll use your name and email to reply, and nothing else.

Email list and free printables. If you sign up, your email is stored with my email provider so I can send what you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Pinterest and other sites

Posts may include Pinterest save buttons or links to other sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and I don't control what they collect.

What I don't do

I don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. I don't share it with anyone except the services above that keep the site running. This site isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to ask what information I have about you, or to have it deleted. Just ask and I'll take care of it.
