November sneaks up on me every year. One week it's Halloween candy everywhere, and the next there's a day off school, a short week for Thanksgiving, and a list of things I need to remember before the holidays start.

With six kids, if it isn't written down, it doesn't happen. So I made a simple one-page November calendar for our family, and you can print it free below.

What's on the free November 2026 calendar

It's one page, landscape, with the whole month at a glance. I kept it simple so there's room to actually write in it.

  • Sunday start, with big boxes for each day

  • Dates already marked: clocks fall back (Nov 1), Election Day (Nov 3), Veterans Day (Nov 11), Thanksgiving (Nov 26) and Black Friday (Nov 27)

  • A Who's Who color key with eight colors, one for each person in the family

  • A Don't Forget list for the things that don't belong to one day

  • A notes box at the end of the month

How I keep a family of eight on one calendar

We have a wall calendar by the front door. My husband uses it the most, and everyone can see it on the way out. All the kids' school calendars for the year are posted right under it, so the no-school days and minimum days are easy to check.

I also keep everything in Google Calendar, and I schedule appointments months ahead now. I used to count on the dentist or the doctor to remind me. They didn't always, and I missed too many appointments that way.

Here's how I'd fill in a printable like this one:

  • School days off first. Copy the no-school and minimum days from the school calendars before anything else.

  • Then appointments. Doctor, dentist, anything with a set time.

  • Then the fun stuff. Birthdays, outings, family nights.

  • One color per person. Fill in the Who's Who key with colored pens or markers, so you can tell whose day it is from across the room.

  • Hang it where everyone walks by. Ours is by the front door. The fridge works too.

I don't try to hold the whole month in my head. I glance at the month, then I look at one week at a time. That's what keeps a busy month from feeling like too much.

Love the whiteboard calendar look?

If you've seen those doodled whiteboard calendars on Pinterest, with turkeys and leaves and a big hand-lettered month, this printable gives you that fall feel without having to draw it yourself.

Want to use it like a dry erase calendar? Slip the page into a sheet protector or a picture frame with glass, and write on it with dry erase markers. Wipe it off and reuse it, or print a fresh one.

How to print it

  • Print on letter-size paper, landscape

  • Choose "fit to page" in your print settings

  • Cardstock holds up better if it's going on the wall for the month
